Ryan Terefenko
Ryan grew up in Reading, PA, and attended Wilson High School, where he began building the foundation for his lacrosse career. He continued his academic and athletic journey at The Ohio State University, graduating in 2021.
At Ohio State, Ryan made history as the first four-time All-American in program history. He served as team captain for his final three seasons and concluded his collegiate career by earning the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor.
Following college, Ryan was selected in the second round of both the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) Draft and the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft. He currently plays in the PLL for the Denver Outlaws and in the NLL for the Halifax Thunderbirds. Ryan has earned All-Pro honors and has been nominated for SSDM of the Year four times, winning the award in 2025. That same year, he was voted one of the Top 20 players in the PLL.
Ryan represented Team USA at the World Lacrosse Championship in San Diego in 2023, helping secure a gold medal. He also competed with Team USA at the Box Lacrosse World Championships in Utica in 2024.
In 2022, he served as a volunteer coach for the USA U-21 team at the World Games. After college, he became the Assistant and Defensive Coordinator at Culver Military Academy, one of the nation’s premier high school lacrosse programs, where he helped develop five-star recruits and future Division I athletes. He later moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he founded Forge Lacrosse Academy to train youth and high school athletes across the region. Forge Lacrosse Academy eventually evolved into what is now Forge Lacrosse Club.
