John was a four-year varsity starter and three-year captain at Cedar Crest High School, finishing his career with 130 goals while earning First Team Lancaster-Lebanon League honors as both a junior and senior. He played club lacrosse for Rock LC and NXT LC, competing alongside top Division I recruits and high school All-Americans while being mentored by Kyle Wimer

John continued his collegiate career at McDaniel College, earning Academic All-Conference and Academic All-American honors, before transferring to Lebanon Valley College, where he started every game over two seasons and totaled 43 goals and 16 assists.

His coaching experience includes Cedar Crest Middle School, Lebanon Valley Lightning, Hempfield Lacrosse, private individual and group instruction, and coaching at multiple prospect camps.
